Grab Bag

This is a way to engage. Take a bag and put items in it. Ask for the person you are working with to find the item according to shape or feel. Or you could ask them to take the item out and talk about it. This can be pictures, familiar items, or even everyday objects around the house. This is a great activity to do when visiting in a community setting or at home. It will give you the chance to provide a positive visit.

Keep in mind to keep this activity together stress free. If you start to show that you are stressed it's likely the person will notice. You are doing great as a care giver.
